BBTB doodlecharm weekly challenge !!

Wow it's been ages since i used the doodlecharm cart so it was great to pull it out this week and have to use for the challenge over at the BBTB site. Regina said we could use any cut as long as it was the border feature, so i used the dragonflies which i cut in chipboard and paper and i embellished them with ink and stickles and skittles which i coloured with a sharpie. Ribbon and rubons complete a fun and easy card !! tfl. Now hop on over to the BBTB site for another contest amazing creations from the other designers and a blog hop for candy woohoo !!

bbtb weekly challenge !!

Oh what a treat this week, we got to use some vintage images from one of my fellow design team members sister !! Sharons sister Peggy of Peggy's loves vintage has some fabulous images on cd's that you can buy just click HERE to go to her site. We got to pick from 4 images and the bbtb design team did amazing !! we were asked to use the lnch bag from the tags bags boxes cricut cart and i also used the butterfly from the indie cart !! I used a stamp from SU for the sentiment and inks from Tim Holtz and a little bit of stickles. You can check out all the other designs HERE. Oh yes theres also another contest starting and you could win one of peggy's cd's so what are you waiting for !!!

At long last !!!!

I finally got my internet back on, i have hated not having it. I have been busy painting the two offices and swapping them over so i now have a much brighter room to craft in !! We had to unhook all the wiring to feed it downstairs to the basement for my DH new office and of course we had to get the new furniture for that office. Well i am almost finished and can't wait to get back crafting !!!!
I also went away on a scrapbook retreat to Grandbend and boy it was so much fun !! I met some fabulous new friends, who i hope to get together with soon, hey it was great bumping into some of you yesterday at scrapfest !!!! i will share with you some time this week what i made on my weekend and of course pics of my new room !! well better get back to putting my stash away in my cupboards, have a fabulous weekend !!!

Two scrapbook friends monthly design team creations !!

Well another month has come around and i have been dying to post my creations but we have to wait till the first of the month !! The paper was yummy this month and the ribbon chipboard and bling gave us all some wonderful elements to work with. from my design kit i made a double and a single layout and two cards !! apart from my kit i used alcohol inks, distress inks and storybook cart plus the cut and emboss butterfly from cuttlebug ! BBTb doodlecharm bunny !!

Wow another week gone by already !! time is flying by !!! I had some bad news this past week, my dads cancer has returned so my head is kind of in the clouds at the moment !! i'm trying to stay focused and positive and i hope he is doing the same It's so hard when we are in different countries! I'm trying to keep busy so my scrap room is now all packed up in boxes as my DH is giving me the bigger office upstairs that means ill have a window let some light in !!! So now i have to re paint my old room buy a new desk for it etc then re paint the office upstairs and set it all up, i bet it is going to take me a couple of weeks . I'm also excited to be going away this weekend on a scrapbooking retreat with my lss two scrapbook friends and my wonderful friend michelle friday till sunday, i am so looking forward to the break !! Now for the fun stuff the challenge this week was to use the bunny from the doodlecharm cart and i made my bunny sitting in the meadow amongst the daffodils, i used WIMG for the daffs and flowers and i used glossy accents on the flower heads and my bunnies feetpads and nose. This card is dimentional but it doesn't show to well on the pic !! Tfl sorry for blabbing on !!

BBTB spring challenge !!

I know it's been a while since i blogged but my mojo has gone to sleep !! i tried hard this week though to do the bbtb challenge and i wish i could take better pics because this card is so much prettier in real life !! I must have taken 20 shots seriously and i still not that happy with the pic !!! Anyhow the challenge was to use the word spring from the stretch your imagination cart ! the design team are awesome, talk about talent this team rocks !! check out all the creations HERE. oh yes and the scalloped rectangle is from the storybook cart !! This card is 7.5" x 6.5" lots of tim holtz inks and stickles and skittles !! TFL !

Highway sign challenge bbtb !!

Wow this week has flown by !! It was a very trying time for me the past week but thats another story !! Regina asked the bbtb team to make a project using the highway sign from the going places cart. I was working on making a card for the hallmark site which was to use the shoe from graphically speaking a challenge i had set., so when i was checking out the sign a purse came to mind straight away and voila two challenges in one !! Two scrapbook friends march design team !

When i first opened this kit, i thought i was in for a real hard time of it, not my usual colours but i really like the results i achieved from this kit ! The papers are from a canadian company in Quebec, Rosemoka.com and this was the equinoxe line ! The design team have to do a double and a single layout plus one other project, i managed to do my double two singles and a card. The other designers have done wonderful projects and you can see them on the two scrapbook friends gallery HERE.

For my double layout i cut the letters from the cuttin up cart and inked them with tim holts inks in mustard seed, weathered wood, orange marmalade. stars are cut from george cart. all other items came in my kit !!
For my first single layout i used the kit but i also used the story book cart for the frame crown and letters. i used distress inks in broken china, mustard seed.

For my next single layout apart from the kit supplies i also used inks in vintage photo and weathered wood.

Finally i made a card from the bits i had left, i used storybook for the scrolls and george for the flowers, i also used inks in faded jeans, black soot and cats eye white. I added a touch of stickles in waterfall. white gel pen !

BBTB challenge life is good !

Hi Everyone, i am still coughing and trying to shake off this pneumonia, i really do feel much much better though so now my energy is starting to return i feel i can do a little more crafting !

This weeks challenge for the bbtb team was to use the cut life is good from the graphically speaking cart, i used brown and black with a hint of pink for my colour combo on my card !! i also used the accent essential cart for the brown shape behind the wording ! The butterflies were cut from graphically speaking, flowers were from my stash and i added gossy accents and stickles and inked with Tim Holtz black soot distress ink ! you can check out all the other wonderful creations from my fellow design team members HERE.

Nanna card !!

I used paper from the dcwv sweet collection for the background ! nanna was cut from the jasmine cart on shadow inked and the edges stickled with icicle ! the frame behind nanna is cut from the home accent cart it's the welcome sign cut on blackout ! again i inked with Tim Holtz worn lipstick distress ink ! The flower branches were also cut from the home accent cart and again i used the same ink and added small rhinestones to the flower centres ! The butterflies are made from a small punch and i used a white gel pen to highlight areas !! thanks for looking !
