Happy new year to all my blogging friends and a big thankyou for the love you all showed me this past month. I am blessed to have you all as my friends. I am also honoured to be receiving an award for my blog by three truly wonderful blogging friends who i have got to know through the cricut site and have become very special to me ! Thankyou Julie H, Tammy and Tracy for being such wonderful cyber friends and for thinking about me , these ladies have the most amazing talent and so look forward to getting to know them even better this year !! click on their names to see what i'm talking about !!

sick again !!

Gosh can you believe that i've been sick again !! this is crazy ! felt ill on saturday but i had a christmas party at my house and so i put a brave face on but had to leave my guests and got to bed as i was sick as a dog !! I was so sick on sunday !! and yesterday i still felt very queesy and weak but i just chilled in my jammies !! have to say feeling a little better this morning but my stomach is so sore. I hope this is the last of it for me cos i hate being sick !! praying that carl and sophie don't get this for the christmas holidays !!!
Well thats my little moan but i also wanted to wish everyone a wonderful christmas and a very happy new year !!

I'm back at last !!! BBTB and hallmark scrapbook challenges !

Wow have i been busy !! i have been working loads plus i had the flu which was horrid, and i have been trying to get my christmas shopping done, i feel exhausted ! It was daughters birthday last week also and my Dh christmas work party, honestly it has been non stop for me !! I am sure you are all in the same boat such a busy time of year ! I managed to get a couple of cards made much to my surprise lol !! the first one is for the Hallmark scrapbook weekly challenge which i set the theme which was to use a snowman, i made a tri fold card and added trees and a snowman cut from the christmas cheer cart and of course lots of stickles !!

The second one is for this weeks BBTB challenge which we were to use spot the dog from the paper pups cart, such a cute cut and i also used the snowflake embossing folder and snowflakes cut from joy of the season ! this will also cover another challenge at hallmark scrapbooks which was to use snowflakes !! Turkey in disguise ! BBTB challenge !

I saw something similar to my card on a christmas card i got a couple of years ago and it made me chuckle !! When Regina asked us to use the turkey from the stretch your imagination cart that christmas card came to mind and thats what i created. I hope it gives you as much a chuckle as it did me !! A partridge in a pear tree bbtb !!

Happy monday everyone !! what a frustrating weekend for me my internet and power kept going off due to the snowfall !! So i am late getting my challenge in this week. Regina asked the bbtb team to use the bare tree from stretch your imagination but to use it with a christmas theme let me tell you this was a hard one !!

I decided to use that new classy charm font that ScrapNfonts kindly gave me and joy of the season for the pears and partridge. I cut my tree 4 times and layered it but i embossed the top tree with the cuttlebug, the pears are cut in shiny gold which doesn't show up very well on this pic ! I added stickles to the edges of the torn paper to make the snow look a little wet. This looks so much better in real life !! The design team did amazing this week so many wonderful ideas you can see what they all did HERE

Ho Ho Ho ! BBTB weekly challenge !

Hey happy monday everyone !! i love my card this week it looks so christmasy and snowy in real life even my hubby said wow lol !! The designers at BBTB were asked to use the mickey cars from mickey and friend cart and i had just got my new martha stewart branch punch so i was determined to use the two !! I'm also going to use this card for one of the challenges at hallmark scrapbooks which was to use one of the santa hats.

Car was cut at 3" and santa was cut from the paper doll cart at 2" and the trees also cut from paper doll at 2" 2.5" and 3". i then covered the trees with the punched out branches.

I used glossy accents on the headlights and the wheel centres, snow writer on santas hat and the trees. Lace stickles on the snowy ground and some on the trees, white cats eye chalk and distress inks. ho ho ho was hand written. seasons greetings ! cuttlebug tree !! DCM

This is my card for daring card makers weekly challenge which is to use bling !!
Well i finally got to use my new cuttlebug tree folder !! I used gold paper and coloured it with alcohol inks to make this rich copper colour !! I cut around the tree and mounted onto this blue and copper brown paper, which i stitched onto the blue background paper. i added blue gems and coloured a gold star brad with a blue permanent marker for the tree top. The stamp is from inkidinkidoo. Thanks for looking !!

Christmas snowflake box and gift tag BBTB weekly challenge !!

Hi everyone !! hope you all had a glorious weekend !! so let me tell you about this weeks challenge ! SCRAPNFONTS a wonderful online font store sponsered the challenge for all the BBTB designers and we had Tis the season modern dingbats and the classy charm font to use on our project !! Oh yes they are also the sponsers for the new contest going on over at th BBTB site !

Regina asked us to use the card from the christmas cheer cart as our canvas but i didn't read my e mail properly and made a box from the wild cart cartridge ! I did use the christmas cheer card though as a tag for the box lol !! I loved using the dinbats and fonts, i printed out in matching ink to my background paper and used co ordinating ink on the edges and matching stickles and ribbon ! I hope you enjoy my project and i love receiving your feedback !! the girls rocked this challenge check out their awesome creations here

3 challenges !!

Yay !! i finally got to play with my kit i bought from my lovely friend Krista and her mum Penny at http://sweetartspaperie.blogspot.com/. I made three cards and i still have some of the goodies left to make something else so check out their awesome kits !!

My first card is for CPS challenge, i did use my cricut to cut the scalloped vellum with the MM cart ! fabric flowers chipboard heart !!

My second card is for Artygirlz, this week it was to use some fabric on your card and so the felt house worked out perfectly for this !! I also used my martha stewart punch and some pink stickles.

And now for my third card i am submitting this for the sketch saturday challenge this is the first time i have done a challenge on this site , again i used the mini mono cart for the scalloped circles and my fiskars threading water punch !!

Snowman poop !! BBTB challenge !!

What a fun little project it was this week !! The BBTB team were asked to use the nut cup from Tags bags cart !! I thought what a fun little cup to make into little treats filled with either marshmallows or scotch mints and call it snowman poop !! The tag reads Youve been naughty, so here's the scoop, you're getting nothing but snowman poop !! Again the team did an awesome job this week with lots of great ideas and creations you can check them out HERE

Snow Girl !!

This is a one page layout i made, i used JOTS for the snowflake fit to page and Home accents for the snowflake photo corners, paper is by Fiskars and around the block and i also used Tim Holtz distress inks, chipboard letters i actually picked up at the dollar store !!, snowflake brads from my stash !! TFL !!!
