40 celebrate !!! CCT challenge

My friend sharon is having a little challenge to use the flower from the george cart and this weeks cute card thursday challenge is to use patterned paper. My sister turns 40 in June and so i made this for her, i used plantin schoolbook on rolypoly for the 40, celebrations cart for the word celebrate and george for the flower which i layered over a large prima flower and added a brown brad in the centre. I edged the 4o and flower with pink perfect pearls and covered the word with glossy accents then did a row of descending dots with stickles. I edged with Tim Holtz inks and added a nice polka dot bow ! pink paper is from my stash and the paper for the 40 is from the dcwv glitter stack.

#1 dad for paper take weekly challenge

This is another fathers day card i russled up and i think i might send this one to my father in law. this is my second card for the paper take weekly challenge i used george for the shapes and cuttin up for the letters the image is a colouring book free image from the internet and sized down tfl !!! i used glossy accents on the clubs and letters and used a shiny clear sticker of a golf ball on a large brad ! I coloured the image with prismas and gamsol !

3 challenges in 1 cps#66 celebrating summer, funky faries summer and paper take weekly man

I made this for my dad and wow what a result from one card i covered 3 challenges and didn't even realise it till i checked the challenge sites. I used the wonderful sketch from CPS #66 and the theme is celebrating summer. Funky faries is also using the theme summer this week and paper take weekly is all about making cards for men with fathers day not too far away.

i used my good old george cart for the circles and accent essentials for the yellow sun. Cutting up for the letters and doodlecharm for the palm tree. The image i found from a colouring book site and i shrunk the image coloured it with prismas and gamsol cut it out and popdotted it to the card. i also pop dotted the palm tree and i used glossy accents on the letters coconuts his glasses hat and can. simple hello !! for Tomi ann's rummage challenge !

My friend Tomi ann from the cricut site has a rummage challenge going on her blog and you had to dig deep into your stash for something you havn't used in a while ! well let me tell you i have a drawer full of papers and scraps some yes i like but there is a lot that i so forgot i had and wonder why i ever bought such ugly paper lol ! Anyhow to make it fair i asked my dd to put her hand in and pull something out and she picked out this salmony ochre coloured paper with butterflies on ! I can't even remember buying this paper and on the back it had a date psx 2002 .Thank goodness she didn't pick out the black and orange diamonds yuk ! well stuck to this paper was some greyish coloured cardstock so my dd said i had to use both mmm !!

I thought what the heck why not ! then i looked at my carts and saw my stamped cart, have i even used that cart i thought well actually no i havn't and i've only had it nearly a year lol ! so i used the stamped cart for the hello using the grey cardstock and i also used my teardrop cart for the butterflies again a cart i have hardly used also using the grey cardstock. well bland was not the word ! i got out my Tim holtz distress inks and coloured the grey card beyond recognition lol ! I then used my new favourite product glossy accents oh yes and some stickles black and yellow !! a simple bow from my ribbon stash and now i actually think i like this card. 2 challenges in one ! CPS 65 and daring card makers

A very simple anniversary card ! for my friend Rimas blog candy challenge ! she has a wonderful site check her out here

I used the weekly sketch from the CPS site for this card and i also incorporated daring card makers little extra challenge to use either bronze, pottery, linen or lace. i chose lace ! my background paper has been in my stash for the longest time but it does look like lace. I used lace down the centre with silver tiny beads and some heart embellishments that i also have had forever The hearts are po dotted to give extra dimention. I just couldn't get it to photograph too well !

Whoo hoo !!

This week the BBTB team had to use the owl from the happily ever after cart well i decided to have a go myself and this is what i came up with !

I used HEA for the owl Zooballoo for the branch, plantin schoolbook set on rolypoly for the letters and AE for the scallops. I used glossy accents on the leaves , letters eyes and beak. Thanks for looking !! don't forget to go to the Bbtb site and see all the amazing cards from the design team !

Kazans sketch challenge

This is for a a competition Kazan has going on her blog ! The

picture does not show all the detail too well. I used white gel pen to doodle on the flowers and black diamond stickles to add dimention in the centre of the petals. the brads are just gorgeous so much detail and they are from k& co. Stamp is $1 from michaels and i used stickles to fill in the Hi ! this is such a great sketch.

CUTE !!

I had a scrapbooking day today but i only managed one layout ! I do love how it turned out though, i used a sketch given to me by my lss two scrapbook friends. I used papers by my minds eye the bohemia line and sparkly spots by cloud 9 designs. The sparkly title is chipboard letters by forever in time and the other chipboard shapes are by Heidi grace. The large flower is also by my minds eye. I made the scroll shape from the accent essential cart accent # 18 and 37. Rik rak was in my stash !! 40th birthday card Bbtb contest !

This is the card i made for my friend birthday and i am entering it for the Bbtb contest ! the contest was to use the ampersand from either the george cart or plantinschool book. i made the cake from SYI and cut it two times to make it more like chipboard. i made the 40 from mickey and friends and again i layered them and then used alcohol inks and stickles on them and attached the numbers to the cake candles. Ipop dotted the cake off the card. The writing was made using base camp and again i used cardstock which i had altered with the inks. The & was used with plantinschoolbook ! I decorated the cake with lots of stickles and pearls and ribbon and i then doodled the little stars with a silver gel pen I inked the card with cats eye chalk inks. This looks so much nicer in real life nd my friend michelle just loved it !!

Book for my friend !!

My good friend Michelle scrappinshell from the cricut boards turned 40 on mothers day and i made her this book and i have to tell you she was over the moon with it ! we met last night for a scrapbook class and we went to dinner we had such a great time !! i have been dying to post this but i couldn't till i gave it to her !!

Cute card thursday gems and jewels

This week the challeng on the cute card thursday site is to use gems and jewels on your card, my DD has two birthday parties next weekend to go to so i made her two friends cards ! i used my new stampinbella stamp ipodabella so cute !! I cut the jeans and purse out of jean paper and pieced it over the stamp. i used stickles for the trim on her coat and i added three gems in colours to match the scalloped square i cut from mini mono cart !!

The second card i used the same stamp but pieced the jacket and pants with the pink that i embossed with the dots folder. again i used stickles for her trim and i added three stickled gems.

caardvarks challenge and CPS#63 challenge

I used the sketch from cps to make this card for the hot challenge at caardvarks so it was great that i had two challenges in one as i have not had a lot of time to craft this week unfortunately !! i used my scorpal to make the folds and i used minimono cart for the scalloped square and the scalloped circle. i added stickles to highlight the stamp and edge the circle !!

Bbtb challenge & artygirlz 3D challenge

This is for the Bbtb challenge for this week which was to use the mug from the christmas cheer cart ! i also am submiting this for the Artygirlz 3D challenge as the mug is popdotted off the paper and i used a flower and brad on the mug ! plus i used my snow writer for the foam and glossy accents for the word Friends which was cut from the MM cart !

A very busy national scrapbook day !

What a great day i had yesterday with my fiend michelle, we went to an all day crop at our LSS in waterloo Two scrapbook friends !! well normally we spend most of our time laughing and buying but this time we actually got some stuff done lol !! I had a few kits i had purchased so i got down to creating those changed the odd thing but loved all three how they turned out. Kits are by Ninabrook designs. Also finished off my picture frame kit which again is another Ninabrook design. Finally i made a card from my scraps i had left very simple but i really like
it !! Thought this would be great for the artygirlz challenge which is an open theme !!

paper take weekly challenge ! elegant embossing !

This weeks challenge on paper take weekly is to emboss so i made this card using my circle nestabilities and i embossed the circles and the background with my cuttlebug dots folder !! the leaf and scroll or from the accent essential cartridge and i inked them using Tim Holtz distress inks.

2 challenges in 1 BBTB and cute card thursday !!

Bbtb is a site for challenges using the cricut machine and this week the challenge for the designers was to use the window card feature on WIMG cart, anyone can play along it's a great site check it out !! CCT challenge this week was anything to do with gardens so i decided to enter this one ! I used the card feature cut t 8" i then made the spade and fork from the same cart cut at 2 1/2" I used stickles to decorate distress inks
