Glamour girls birthday layout ! paper take weekly challenge

The paper take weekly challenge this week is using scallops or zigzags so i thought i would post this layout for their challenge.
I am slowly but surely trying to catch up with my DD's birthday layouts, this is from her 11th birthday and the pic's arn't the best. She is going to be 15 this year so still a little behind lol ! I really do struggle taking pictures of double page layouts i don't know how you girls do it any tips are very welcome !! I used papers from making memories and the glitter stack DCWV. I used my accent essentials to make the scalloped border and circle for the rub on and i used cursive 101 for today. the rub ons are by kaiser craft and some i got from the dollar store. i havn't done a layout in quite a few months so this seemed to take me forever ! I came across these two sites from Enfy's blog and i decided to have a go at both challenges so i thought why not kill two birds with one stone as they say !! Western boot card !

I have so many birthdays coming up over the next 2 months it's crazy ! So i am trying to get a head start on them all. I made this card for my best friends daughter, she is turning 18 and is heavily into barrel racing and loves lots of bling on her show shirts and belts. I have had this paper for ever so i have no idea where i got it from but the template for the boot i got from crafty templates. My DH thought i had used leather too funny ! he actually said he thought this card was really good lol ! Thanks for looking !

Baby card for BBTB contest

This is my entry for the contest currently going on at BBTB . You had to make a baby card either for a boy or girl using either pink and lime green or blue and lime green plus use one cut from any cricut cart and use ribbon. I used the rocking horse from paper dolls, i stitched my ribbon all around the outside of the inner rectangle to make it look like a frame. I was on the cricut website this morning and one of the girls had posted a card using the SYI cart so i thought thats what i'm using next, i cut the card at 51/2 " and then cut the frame to go over the top. With all the little cut outs from the frame, i used them to make another background for my second card. I used a michaels $1 stamp, these cards were so easy and quick to make !

Easter whippersnapper stamp card

I love this stamp ! Susie B on the cricut website sent me the image for a challenge she was running and i just received mine so i couldn't wait to get started, this is what i came up with ! i used prisma pencils and gamsol to colour and i highlighted with stickles love stickles !!

Cute little house mouse

I made this card for a little swap i am in, i used my new paisley cuttlebug folder and my scorpal,to emboss the background. I coloured the stamped image with prisma's and gamsol and used a cuttlebug corner die for the corner flourish. A simple bow and a little doodling finishes this card off, i hope she will like it !

just a little light hearted fun !!

Phew back from Buffalo !

What a great weekend dispite the weather ! We had so much fun and bought so much stuff it was a blast ! The hotel was super clean and we had great food ! Thanks to Heather Shepherd for recommending Panera Bread, we had an awesome lunch there, so sorry Heather that you couldn't make it ! Oh yes and thanks Heather for the info on Buffalo stamps wow that shop was awesome !!The car was loaded to the limit, paper, stamps, chipboard, grungeboard, ribbon, brads, albums, rubons, cuttlebug folders, oh yes i got the new butterfly one that cuts and embosses so excited to get that one.Ok what else oh yes i got the large scalloped circle's and ovals spellbinder nestabilities shapes. Oh yes my new paper cutter we got the purple cow 2 in 1 it's awesome, it has different blades and you can seperate it so you have a portable trimmer as well as the guillotine one i find it very cool. We did buy the design runner but we played with it in our hotel room and neither of us liked it so that went back and we bought other stuff instead. So here are a few pics to show off some of the stuff i got !

Going to Buffalo !

It's finally come around, scrappin shell and myself are supposed to head off to Buffalo tomorrow to do some serious craft shopping ! However they are calling for a storm so i am hoping and praying it's not as bad as what they are saying and we can still go. We have been counting down the days for this trip, i'm packed got my us dollars and i'm good to go !

I Joined curves !!

This past week went so quick been busy with appointments laundry and painting my bedroom. I did however finally join curves, let me tell you i needed to lol !
I am really enjoying it though been 3 times and i'm back there again tomorrow. I really want to lose weight for summer before the dreaded swimsuits come out ! I had so much fun there this morning and i am feeling a little sore tonight.

I am hoping to lose 15 pounds by the end of may not going to hold my breath though with all this easter chocolate everywhere you look lol !. Why do i love chocolate so much ! I really am going to try so hard though, I shall take it one day at a time ! which will be very hard for a chocoholic !!

I did cheat today though had a little bag of revels, these are english chocolates and they are sooooo good, couldn't resist when i saw them in a little store selling imported chocolate !!
I did only buy the one bag though !!

Okay tomorrow is a fesh day wish me luck !!

Card for enfy's challenge

Here is my card for the challenge at Enfy's site, She was celebrating 5000 hits and is giving away blog candy for a card challenge. The challenge was to make a card in black and white plus one accent colour. I used the scor pal for making the diamond background, i then embossed a strip using the new dots cuttlebug folder, i love this folder !!! I cut out a scalloped frame from the mm cart and accented it with white dots. In the centre of the frame i used a stamp from stampin up and edged the circle in pink. The flower border was cut from happily ever after cart and i stickled the leaves and roses with crystal and candy pink. a small pink bow finishes my card. i am really pleased how this turned out and the pic does not do it justice !!

easter card

well, i decided to make an easter card, i really liked the look of the rabbit on the zooballoo cart, i noticed this from when i made the dog card. So anyhow i cut the card with the rabbit insert at 5" and i coloured him in using gamsol and prisma pencils. I then cut out a bunch of eggs from the doodlecharm cart and made a frame around the window. I used stickles to highlight the eggs. I also cut a 6" scalloped frame on blackout from accent essentials using up the paper from my last card. i then simply added a bow, i hope you like how it turned out.
